The William Alfred Moore House

Construction began in 1860 and was finished in 1862. Mr. William Alfred Moore constructed the house using a combination of Victorian and Italianate styles. The interior includes Greek Revival features.

The original structure was a three-bay wide, double-pile house with a two-story rear ell.

After the passing of William Alfred Moore in 1909, his daughter, Margaret Franklin Moore Penn, took ownership of the house. The house was enlarged in 1925 by adding a matching rear ell and a second story sleeping porch.
